There is an invisible script in our mind that says “I need to prove my worth”.

If you were acting in a movie, and the script writer wrote a 'need to prove my worth' script for your character, what would you think of the life of this character?

You'd probably think that it's exhausting, under fulfilling, and stressful to live this character.

You'd wonder why this character needs to prove their worth, and why are they not living up to their potential.

You'd hope if the script writer could make a happier ending where this need goes away.
